Professional Associate of the Academy of Reiki

Reiki is an ancient tradition of healing through the hands. Shelley Jackson is a Reiki Master/Teacher and Professional Associate of the Academy of Reiki. She is also a registered Reiki Master/Teacher and member of Australian Reiki Connection Inc, the national Reiki professional association.

Shelley offers Reiki treatments and workshops to the community from her practice located in Ballina, NSW. She conducts weekend, midweek, and evening Reiki workshops in Ballina, the Northern Rivers area, and other locations on the North Coast of NSW.

Shelley aims to provide the highest quality Reiki training, and is therefore guided by the Code of Ethics and standards of professional practice of Australian Reiki Connection Inc, and the standards of excellence in teaching and learning established by the Academy of Reiki.

The Academy of Reiki, based in Brisbane, Queensland was established in 1990, with two aims:

• "To establish a standard of excellence for the teaching of Reiki", and

• "To offer a comprehensive, high-quality and professional Teachers training program."

Teachers who have graduated from the Academy of Reiki, and who continue to work with the Academy as Professional Associates, are able to offer the same high standard of training to their students.

Students attending workshops conducted by Professional Associates of the Academy of Reiki receive a comprehensive class manual and a Statement of Attainment from the Academy of Reiki, upon successful completion of each Unit.

A self-help system of natural therapy

Reiki is easy to learn and simple to use. One of the singular benefits of Reiki is that it can be used as a 'self-help' system of natural healing. You can learn to take charge of your own health and well being through the regular use of Reiki

Training as a Reiki practitioner

Learning Reiki offers many benefits. It can be used as a 'self-help' system of natural healing, or you can train to become a Reiki Practitioner. After the successful completion of Reiki Level 1 and Reiki Level 2, you qualify as a Reiki therapist. You will then be eligible to apply for both Practitioner Membership of Australian Reiki Connection Inc. and to become an 'Accredited Therapist' with the Academy of Reiki. In addition, Reiki Level 3A is an ideal precursor for anyone considering Reiki Master/Teacher training. (For further information about Reiki, please see the index at the top of this page.)

Shelley Jackson offers Reiki workshops from her practice located in Ballina, NSW. She is also available to conduct Reiki workshops in other locations in the Northern Rivers area, and on the North Coast of NSW.

Reiki Level 1 (RAB) is taught in a one-day workshop, 8.30 am - 5.00 pm. Students receive Usui/Tibetan attunements, which align and open their energy centres. Reiki is a safe, simple, natural, easy to learn technique. However, as Reiki is experiential, it cannot be learned from books, and it is necessary to attend a workshop.

Each student receives a comprehensive class manual and a Reiki Level 1 Statement of Attainment from the Academy of Reiki, upon successful completion of this Unit.

Usui/Tibetan Reiki Level 2 Workshops

Reiki Level 2 (RAC) is taught in a one and a half-day workshop, usually on an evening, 6.30 pm-9 pm and then the following day, 9 am-5 pm. Students receive Usui/Tibetan Level 2 attunements, which gives them access to even more Reiki energy. This level allows a more comprehensive use of Reiki. Techniques are taught for invoking more energy, for sending Reiki at a distance and for furthering the mental, emotional and spiritual healing process of individuals.

Each student receives a comprehensive class manual and a Reiki Level 2 Statement of Attainment from the Academy of Reiki, upon successful completion of this Unit.

Reiki Level 3A (RAE) is a 2-day workshop usally offered on a Saturday and Sunday, 9 am-5 pm, and focuses on personal growth and includes:

Generally, you can make a booking for a Reiki workshop by completing an Enrolment Form and paying a deposit in advance, with the balance of payment due on commencement of the workshop.

Payment may be made by cash, direct deposit, cheque or money order.
